When shopping for new kitchen cabinets, there are terms, "lingo " you need to know.  Today’s blog post about the lingo of "inset cabinetry".

What is inset cabinetry?
Inset cabinets feature drawers and doors that fit flat, flush within the face frame, or box.  This type of construction gives a full view of the cabinet frame, the doors and drawers both fit flat against the frame.

Cost?

Yes, inset cabinets may cost as much as 15 to 30% more than full overlay design. The hinges can be exposed, or hidden.

Premium Cabinet Studio carries four inset cabinet designs. They come in four different finishes. White Shaker and White Raised Panel.  Light gray and dark charcoal gray shaker style.

The advantage is generally subjective. The look of the cabinet presents a clean, sleek modern look. Other than that, there is really no true advantage to having inset cabinetry other that you can dare to be different!
