New Year?  New You?
Why not, New Year, New Design?

Here’s what will be trending in 2019!

Rustic
Rustic has run out. Sorry all you "Fixer upper" fans.  And you just put up your new ship lap entry.

Industrial
That trend has been replaced with a more industrial look.
If you love concrete, quartz and metal you can do your happy dance. These elements will lead the 2019 trend.

Matte black for appliances and countertops in kitchens will be preferred.  Gray is still a strong color choice for paint and fabrics but a dark "Moody Blue" will be popular too.

High Tech
A strong trend is becoming more the norm for our homes. Alexa and other apps can set temperature, lighting etc.

Textures
From a nubby rug to house plants or fuzzy pillows.  These will help soften an industrial look and add personality and warmth to your design.

Here’s to a new year of health, wealth and good design!

Leslie Allison has worked as a designer in the Kansas City area for the past 25 years.

She has designed rooms for the Symphony Designer Show House and was featured in the national publication Romantic Homes Magazine.

Blessed with her ability to "find" a "fabulous" bargain, she opened her Leawood home to “event sales" 3 times per year. Thus, "fabulous finds & design" a retail shop in Martin City, MO was opened, in 2000.

Leslie is cost conscious, with a creative eye for great style and superior quality.
